Our Mister Sun poked his bright face through the clouds today and reminded me that Northern Hemisphere summer is surely on its way! I visualize myself lounging on a deck chair, icy lemonade in hand (REAL lemonade, mind you), thumbing through the latest issue of “Coastal Living Magazine”, listening to the gulls and the gentle pulse of the sea . . .
Suddenly struck by the need for the perfect lumbar pillow for my deck lounger, I grab paint, fabric, stuffing and a chilled can of V-8. Here you see the result; hope you like it. Measures 11”x17”x4”, with box corners that give the pillow firmness all the way to the corners, stuffed comfy-full of polyester fiberfill. Fashioned from commercial all-weather fabric and permanent textile paint, the hand-painted branch coral is the loveliest blend of green and pale turquoise, resulting in a sublime but strong celadon.
Fashioned from commercial all-weather fabric and permanent textile paint, the hand-painted branch coral is the loveliest shades of soft green and pale turquoise, gently blended to create a sublime celadon. Two sets of 10" long ties in the top seam allow you to tie it to the slats of your Adirondack chair or frame of your chaise lounge. (The ties are easily trimmed off with scissors if you don't wish to use them, or you can order your pillows without ties.)
If you are fortunate enough to have a swimming pool, you might need a few of these for your poolside chairs. The indoor-outdoor fabric stands up to sun, rain, chlorinated water, bug larvae and UV rays! Easy to spot clean, hose off or gently launder; air dry in the sun. Available in other colors; just convo the artist.
The perfect width for anti-gravity loungers and Adirondack chairs. Feels great behind your head or in the small of your back. Not a transfer, reprint, decal or reproduction, but individually hand-painted. Please allow for slight variation between pillows due to the handcraft process. Imagineered, painted, sewn, stuffed, signed and copyrighted on beautiful Camano Island, Washington, where we don’t take sunshine for granted.
