Nautical Rondel with Dolphins

This classic 18th Century rondel symbolizes maritime supremacy of the seas. Mythical dolphins with cascades of sea leaves and pods flank an heraldic eagle perched on a draped platform. The decoratively roped and banded rondel frame with balls and a black rim holds a convex mirror. A stylized shell and scrolled leaf design embellishes the bottom crest. This symbolic regalia is properly finished in hand-laid and antiqued gold leaf.
