GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATIONEach product page includes an estimated time that it takes for a particular product to leave the warehouse. This time must then be added to the projected shipping time in order for you to get a general delivery estimate. In-stock items normally leave the warehouses within 2-10 days of ordering unless otherwise posted on each product page. Heavier furniture items may take up to 20 weeks if they are custom orders. PLEASE CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLL-FREE AT 877-441-9222 IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT DELIVERY OF YOUR ORDER. We are here to insure your complete satisfaction.
FREIGHT SHIPPING NOTES AND DELIVERY TIMESYou can find a reasonable estimate of the product's availability and an estimate as to when the item will LEAVE THE WAREHOUSE specified on every product page. It is important to note that this is an estimated shipping time and can not be guaranteed by Cottage & Bungalow. Occasionally issues arise that are beyond our control that may lead to additional production and/or delivery time, such as our manufacturers experiencing a backup in production or weather issues which can affect transportation and delivery.
It is important to note that once a piece leaves our manufacturer’s facility, the remaining shipping time is beyond our control. Cottage & Bungalow functions as a liaison to ensure merchandise is transported safely to you, and although this process most often proceeds smoothly, delays and damages may be caused by the freight company. Cottage & Bungalow will do our absolute best to assist in getting your furniture to you in a timely manner and in good condition and will notify you immediately if we are made aware of any expected delays or problems.
It is essential that you inspect all freight shipped items very carefully and DO NOT sign for your piece if you suspect any damage.
Note: UPS does not deliver to US Postal Service mail boxes and does not ship on Saturdays or Sundays. Please include a suitable physical address for your shipment.
HOW TO RECEIVE YOUR SHIPMENTGenerally, heavy items are shipped via common carrier (freight) due to their size and weight. When items are delivered via freight to a residential address, freight companies are not required to do anything other than to remove it from their truck. For especially heavy items, we recommend that you engage assistance in moving the items to the exact location you have chosen within your home.
In most cases, you will be notified when your merchandise arrives at the carrier's location nearest you in order to set up a mutually convenient time for delivery. Note that many furniture items are shipped separately and may require assembly.
We can arrange for "white glove delivery" (delivery into your home and removal of packing materials) and have done so for many of our more expensive pieces...call us toll-free to inquire about the specifics of this service at 1-877-441-9222
Cottage & Bungalow’s artisans take great care in packaging their creations to ensure safe transport to your home. Although these items are packaged properly, in some instances transit-related damage may occur. It is imperative that you inspect your order carefully when it arrives. Take the time to note any damage to your furniture and to the packing materials on the delivery receipt. Do not sign the shipping documents without recording details of transit damage. (For example: the furniture is scratched, dented, cracked, fabric is torn and the box is crushed on the top corner, punctured or wet)
Upon inspection, if you find that your merchandise is damaged, you may choose to refuse the delivery. Damages must be reported to Cottage & Bungalow at the time of delivery by calling us at 877-441-9222. We will be unable to assist you in repair or replacement of damaged merchandise if it is not thoroughly inspected and documented as described above.
Freight companies are instructed to deliver items during the time frame scheduled with you, our customer. However, if you find that your furnishing(s) were delivered when you are not at home, please do not move the boxes. Contact Cottage & Bungalow immediately for further instructions.
VERY IMPORTANT:If you have plans to be out of town prior to the expected receipt of large or bulky merchandise, please notify us so that we can contact the manufacturer or their shipping company. Many local truck freight companies charge storage fees. Any storage fees will be the customer's responsibility and, if charged to Cottage & Bungalow, will be charged back to the customer. These fees may be as high as $75 per day according to the size of the item.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
