"Ahoy" is traditionally something sailors shout when they see land or another ship, or can be used simply to hail someone as in "Ahoy there!" But even if you're a land lubber who avoids boats like the plague, you can still make use of this handy exclamation when you spy pretty much anything.
For example, "cocktail ahoy!" or "thong bikini ahoy!" can be used to alert others that something of significance has been sighted.
Our artist carefully cut this sign with a scroll saw from half inch plywood and haphazardly painted it to have a distressed "been hanging outside on the porch for the last 40 years" look. She sanded it just enough to keep you from getting splinters without diluting the nice, rustic texture of the wood. She uses an exterior latex paint and you can choose to add a sealer (for an extra $5) so you can hang it in the sun and rain. The sealing coat adds a slight gloss to the finish. Hanger(s) included.

The sign is 21" wide by 7.5" tall including ascenders and descenders.
