Oregon Oak Outdoor Pillow
How many leaves does a sixty-foot-tall oak tree produce? Growing up on a farm in Oregon beneath the huge oak trees, our artist remembers trying to count them all. She still recalls the crisp, rustling sound of tennie runners through the haystack piles of leaves dotting the property. She and her siblings would rake them into great heaps, only to dive into them and throw leaves on each other; she remembers there was a considerable amount of laughing and screaming involved. Those trees have long since passed their hundredth year and it's a comfort to know they are still there, gifting us with their bright leaves every autumn, their new green buds every spring.
The Oregon White Oaks of Ashbrook Farm are her inspiration for these bold images. The pillows measure 19"x19"x5" and are fashioned of indoor-outdoor fabric, so they will be happy on your porch or patio as well as your media room recliner. The removable polyester fiberfill insert is removable for machine washing and drying, while the cover usually requires nothing more than a spot cleaning or a hosedown, although it may be gentle washed/air dried. Permanent nontoxic textile paints have been heat-set for permanence.
This pillow looks pretty nice with others in the leaf collection! Enjoy!
